About Me

Hello, I am Deborah!
I am a Mindfulness Now accredited teacher and a British School of Meditation accredited practitioner. I work with groups and individuals as a professional trainer and I am starting to fulfil my aim of promoting mental health and well-being for all, particularly those suffering from depression, anxiety and stress.

My History

Having spent 30 years working within the IT Industry I began to feel and notice that more and more pressures were being put upon people. not only within the workplace but throughout the whole of our lives.

The balance of life and technology has shifted too far, too fast and our brains do not have the time or the ability to keep up. We walk around with the world’s knowledge in our hand and can access anything we want to know within seconds.​

Some of us spend a lot of time on our physical well being, going to gym, running, yoga, cycling and any number of other things,. People are very aware of what they eat and what goes into their body, so both the inside and outside of the body is taken care of.

My Vision

The part that we are missing out on is the most central, most important part of who we are. Our brains, our minds, our thought processes.​

It is the mind that tells us what to do, how to behave, what to think. It’s also our mind that can build up stories and self-critical thoughts. It’s when we start to believe those thoughts, mental illness starts to creep up in the form of depression, anxiety and stress.​

My aim is to enable people to understand their thought processes and learn through meditation to give our minds some well earned rest. The power of meditation stops the manic endless cycle of negative thinking and allows other thoughts to blossom and come to the fore.​

I love teaching these classes and seeing the change in people over the weeks that they attend. I know that I have taught them a life long skill and ultimately given them the ability to live a happier, more fulfilled life.
